Innovations in chronic wound management
Are you familiar with the latest techniques in wound care? Would you like to develop your knowledge and skills relating to wound management? Wound care is constantly developing new, innovative techniques and treatments. Not only has this resulted in a surge in new dressing materials, but also in the development of new therapeutic approaches including growth factors, use of skin substitutes and stem cell therapy.
Swansea University and the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre are offering a short course into the science behind wound innovations and their clinical effectiveness. The course runs on four days:
- Tuesday 14 June
- Thursday 23 June
- Tuesday 28 June
- Tuesday 12 July
This short intense course will review the aetiology and pathophysiology of chronic wounds, and current wound treatments and their advantages and disadvantages. Applicants can choose which days they would like to attend, or can attend all four days, as stand-alone or part of a Master’s module.
Course fees are £106.25 per day, with the full, four-day course costing £425.
Deadline for applications is Tuesday 7 June.
