CONCLUSION

Venous disease and venous eczema

can affect quality of life (González-

Consuegra and Verdú, 2011;

Maddox, 2012), and if not managed

appropriately can lead to further

deterioration in health and quality of

life. Healthcare professionals are in

a unique position to work with the

person to treat existing problems and

manage venous disease to reduce

the risk of further complications and

improve well-being.
